CRE utilizes a chemical enzyme process to recover silver from the film base. The film base, polyethylene terephyhalate, or PET, is first chopped into tiny pieces three-quarters or an inch or smaller, then put into 10,000-gallon enzyme reactor tanks where the silver is removed from the base.”

Libraries as a physical place still serve as a designated place to gather, study, and relax. How can university libraries strive to maintain a relevant learning environment for their students and faculty?
This challenge is an opportunity to create an interior environment that satisfies the immediate needs of the user while remaining flexible to future change. The space that formerly housed large volumes of printed material needs to be redesigned and repurposed to better serve the ever-changing needs of its users.
Books are being removed from libraries as computer data bases are replacing them. However, libraries as a physical form are still important to students and the community as a unique place to gather, study, and relax.
